Hidden Gem Restaurant is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. If you have a commitment to excellence and a desire to learn and grow, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the Executive Chef.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Monitor inventory and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Follow all health and safety regulations.
Assist with daily cleaning and sanitation of kitchen.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet the needs of the restaurant.
Assist with special events and catering as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to work in a hot and humid environment.
